Freedom to Connect
Submitted by Aldon Hynes on Mon, 03/05/2007 - 09:30If I hadn’t of spent most of last week down in DC live blogging the Libby trial deliberations, I would be down there right now to participate in Freedom to Connect. Fortunately, it will be streaming online with a live chat back channel going on at the same time.
There are many aspects to our freedom to connect. Some of the bigger issues are things like net neutrality, municipal wireless and the digital divide. Yet there are other things that inhibit our ability to connect. How usable are communication tools to use? How well do they interconnect?

That said, let me propose that we form a group, Faggots for Edwards. In the purest sense, I probably shouldn’t be part of this group. I’m a happily married heterosexual. However, I called a faggot back when I was in junior high school, so I could probably have some sort of honorary membership.

I did not expect to find myself reading what I have been reading about the Connecticut Judiciary.

Tidbits from drinking with journalists
Submitted by Aldon Hynes on Fri, 03/02/2007 - 16:19Last night, before hopping on the train back to Connecticut, I stopped by at a local bar to have drinks with some of the journalists covering the Libby Trial. A few other people with strong interests in the trial were there. The most important point that was brought up, especially when some of the others learned I was a blogger, was that everything there was somewhere between off the record and deeply, deeply, deeply off the record. The more drinks we had, the further off the record we went.
