Delays and disappointment,
pain and injuries,
grief,
fatigue.

There is a lot to deal with
right now
yet the weather remains
beautiful
and the almost full moon
rises.

I sit to write
and the words pour upon me
like the waterfall
I visit later in the day.

After a long drive
and a hike
I sit under the falling water.

It refreshes my soul
and relieves my weary muscles
as I think about
the words yet to be written.

French toast tastes best
when shared with a friend
over good news
and high hopes
under the watchful eye
of the Celtic Madonna.

And in the evening
when there are more mouths to feed
than expected
there is also
more willing hands
and more daily bread
available.

Loving the whole cosmos;
resting,
reading,
reflecting,
doing the basic tasks of living,
and enjoying the simple joys.

Another fair Sunday
gathering around the Eucharist
honoring friends
praying with the elderly
and eating with family.

The weather continues
fair and warm
as I power through tasks
while others remain,
untouched.
A prayer for presence
is paired
with a prayer for perseverance.

but many paths intertwining
with beautiful vistas along the way
all offer
wonderful opportunities
to savor the journey
and being
a wandering migrant pilgrim.
