Speculation about the note

The media crew is rolling in. There is plenty of speculation about the note that will be discussed at 9:30. What do we do with the extra Valentine’s Day T-Shirt? Can we get more Post-Its? What should we do if we can’t reach agreement on one of the counts? Do you really not want us to wear jeans? We want the art critic back. One person who was hear late last night says the note a not deadlock note; it is not an important note, he loudly claims.

People are asking, if anyone has seen Libby yet. One person comments about seeing Patrick Fitzgerald coming out of a Starbuck. They talk about how after covering the story, you seem to see the key players everywhere. “What are you doing in my bedroom”, one reporter jokingly ponders aloud. People are starting to get a little punchy.

Jeralyn has some other interesting observations, in part from an article in Time, raising the question, what will the jurors wear today?

There are discussions about technology, the WiFi connection in the media room, whether or not people have downloaded the latest version of Firefox, how long people’s batteries are lasting, whether or not the PC that got Starbucks spilled on it last night is still working.

People are fighting for position in the media room. Notes have been left reserving seats, some of which get ignored. One person shows up who hasn’t been here for a month, and wants to know if anyone has been sitting in the seat he wants to take. Teams talk about who will be in the media room, who will go up to the courtroom and who will go outside to be on the air.

I check my Facebook page, and find an invitation to Let's Toast to Libby's Conviction!!!. It is scheduled for Thursday evening. I respond with a ‘Maybe’, commenting that I will come if there is a conviction by Thursday evening, and if I’m not back in Connecticut. However, I hope to be back home before Thursday night.

I did not sleep well last night, too much anticipation. I can only wonder how some of the players are sleeping. Now, we just wait to see what the note says.
