Yesterday, I met with a venture capitalist about some financial services software. On the way to the meeting, my car broke down. With all of that, I started the day a few hundred emails behind. I managed to catch up a little bit, but then I met with Lars Toomre

I worked with Lars starting back in the 80s and we’ve stayed in touch ever since. I introduced him to SmartCampaigns including CivicSpace and Media Wiki He is starting to set up his site, and I’ve gotten a few new ideas worth kicking around.

In particular, we were talking about having a ‘contact’ wiki. So, as an example, every time I refer to a person in a blog entry, etc., I could like to their entry in the ‘contact’ wiki. A place where that becomes even more interesting is if it is incorporated with something like Identity Commons

So, I have set up a copy of my bio, from a different site in the SmartCampaigns TestWiki. It links to my Identity Commons Page.

Using the wmfilter.module in CivicSpace as well as the interwiki capabilities of Media Wiki, it is easy to provide these sort of links.
