The Super Bowl Beer Primary
(Cross posted at My Left Nutmeg)
Kim is doing scheduling for the Lamont campaign and I'm going to be very involved with the online part of the game, so we ended up having a weekend talking with people about Ned's campaign around the state.
In particular, I want to highlight a Super Bowl party we went to Saturday in Greenwich. I know a lot of people think of Greenwich and think of the palatial estates in the back country, but there is another side of Greenwich too. The party we went to was in a small apartment in downtown Greenwich.
The place was packed with people who had come to watch the Super Bowl. Ned showed up, and many of the people knew him from when he was a Selectman in town. Ned stood around, having a beer and talking about the game, a local park in Greenwich, and other items of interest to the locals.
I often talk about the importance of the 'Beer Primary', who is the candidate that you would most like to stand around having a beer with. Ned made a very good showing in the Super Bowl Beer Primary.
In other news, the Greenwich Time has an article about Ned's campaign. Hopefully a lot of people signed up folks for Ned's campaign at other Super Bowl parties. Ned will be at the Fairfield DTC this evening and then fly to California tomorrow. I believe all the paperwork is in place for him to start receiving contributions. Hopefully, there will be more news shortly, especially since there are rumors of a big fundraiser in California on Tuesday.
