R.I.P. - Frank Keaney
Yesterday, I received an email about the passing of Frank Keaney.
I only met Frank a couple times. He came to the fundraiser for Kim's campaign when she was running for State Rep. (See photo's here and here).
Many of you may recognize his daughter, 'Maura in Va', who was also at the fundraiser and is very active on many blogs.
In her email she commented,
His death is a huge loss, but I know his poor body is at rest now. And while I just lost him, I know I have found a lot in the last couple of years, too. I found that not having income for a year is survivable and that losing savings is not such a great loss when it gains you time with someone you love. I found a new appreciation for how much a one line email can cheer up a person. I found that I'm not as good at juggling multiple responsibilities as I thought I would be, and I found humility in failing at some other things so I could succeed at being a caregiver. I'm sorry that I have not been better able at maintaining friendships during this last two years, but I'm very grateful for the kindness and support that you have shown me even when I've been lousy at keeping in touch.
Our prayers are with Frank, Maura and everyone touched by Frank's passing.
