Second Life Market Recap 9/14
Submitted by Aldon Hynes on Fri, 09/14/2007 - 22:35On the Second Life Capital Exchange (SLCAPEX), SL Reports (SLR) reported an extra dividend today. Yesterday, Dragon Global Diversified (DGD) announced they would have a shareholder meeting Saturday at 6 PM Second Life Time (SLT). Over the past day, Nicholas Portocarrero unloaded around another 300,000 shares of Brautigan & Tuck Holdings (BNT). BNT traded as low as .13. There is a very large sell order of over 460,000 shares outstanding at .20. Kubi Beam is buying up more NDX stock and Dezmond Martinek continues to trade out of SLMS and into ZEN. KLinthoudt Mayo is also accumulating more ZEN.
Allenvest Investment Group (AIG) continues to tumble, down another 25% today to an average trade of .26 after an average trade of .35 yesterday. Personally, I’ve taken a beating on my AIG position, but those loses have been more than offset by gains in other stocks, so all in all, I had another positive day.
AIG, BNT, and NDX have all given up over half their value since I started tracking things the SLCapEx. TNW, on the other hand has more than doubled.
Nothing particularly interesting showed up on my radar on the other Second Life exchanges.
Second Life Day Trading Strategies
Submitted by Aldon Hynes on Thu, 09/13/2007 - 10:08JohnLight Raymaker over at Second Life Millionare was been talking about his experiences trading on the Second Life. His haven’t been all that successful, but over the past month I’ve taken about L$ 300 and turned it into L$ 3000. He has asked if I have any tips on day trading on Second Life. I have a few which I am writing up here.
SL 9/12 Market Notes
Submitted by Aldon Hynes on Wed, 09/12/2007 - 21:20If we looked at the Second Life Capital Exchange (SLCapEx), like we looked at traditional equity markets, we would be talking about a major crash. The average stock dropped around 8% today. If the Dow Jones Industrial Average were down 8%, that would be a decline of over a thousand points.

Sunday Evening Second Life Financial Markets Recap
Submitted by Aldon Hynes on Sun, 09/09/2007 - 20:19The markets were fairly quite today, with volatilities way below what they’ve been over the past few days. In terms of sheer volume, the IPO WNB Italian Lands (ITA) was the most active, followed by Tnw Designs and Real Estate (TNW). As I noted this morning, Enky Nakamura had sold off around 20,000 shares. Later in the day, he bought that back, and more. Marc Attenborough bought several hundred more shares of INC, Bogart Beck bought a little more SLCX, Dimitri Gasser bought a little more XXX and Dezmond Martinek bought a little more ZEN.
NDX, SLTM and AIG continued to trade in a wide range, with SLTM being the only one with any noticeable volume. Beyond that, not much news.
Over on the World Stock Exchange (WSE), SLM, ETC, PNK, and HOT all had announcements or updated financials, but none of them were earth shattering.
Meanwhile, I’ve been distracted as I’ve gotten OpenSim up and running on a few of my servers. While OpenSim and Linden Labs efforts to create other grids are probably a long way off from practical application, such developments are likely to create long term downward pressure on land prices.
