Margaret's trip with Breast Cancer
Playing the comment game at Michele’s blog, I stumbled across this blog entry. It particularly struck me, and I posted a comment there, which I am posting here as well.

Your comment, "Are you there God? It's me Megan", together with references to doggie cancer made me put together a couple different thoughts.

I cannot help but wonder how many women like Kimberly read Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret years ago as they struggled with their adolescent bodies and their relationship with God, and are now facing new struggles with their bodies and their relationship with God.
Where was this when I was young?

I could have used a book like this because in my day (too many days ago to be specific) we didn't talk about our feelings and such in the family - Stoic Germans that we were. Part of this frustration that stayed with me for years has compelled me to start gift it forward a website to raise money for women diagnosed with breast cancer. My friend just died in January and the frustration reared it's ugly head again. I had to do something to help women with this disease. This book is a must read for every girl, even if they still have their mothers...
