Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit. Happy New Year

And so, 2011 comes to an end and we launch into 2012. Being the first of the month, as well as the first of the year, I start off with the childhood invocation for good luck, Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit.

I haven't made any big resolutions this year. I want to improve my writing. I want to learn new things.

With the demise of Adgitize, a structure that I've used to visit various blogs is now gone. Entrecard remains, but is less compelling. Also, there are times that it feels like a lot of the time I quickly scan various blogs and don't get especially engaged.

Will I have more time for other pursuits? Perhaps. Perhaps I should go through all the TED talks. Perhaps I should go through all the RSA animations. Perhaps I should spend time going through various open curriculum classes online. Maybe I'll spend a little time over the coming days to explore each option in more detail.

One thing that strikes me is the community aspect of the classroom, the shared experience. This is an area where open curricula may be lacking, unless people organize doing classes together, perhaps in the style of an online book club.

All of this has gotten me thinking about the nature my online experiences. Later this year, the oldest online post of mine that I can still find on the Internet turns 30 years old. I got me thinking a lot about how my relationship with the Internet has changed over time. Perhaps that will be a good blog post, or series of blog posts.

So, how are you rethinking your blogging and other online actives for the new year? Are there online intellectual pursuits you will be following? Ones you would be interested in collaborating on, or ideas I haven't mentioned that you think might be of interested?
