Blogging the Lamont Gathering in New Haven
This morning, many of us went to hear Ned Lamont address a group of potential supporters at the New Haven Public Library. Early on, I counted over 70 people and quite a few people showed up after I counted, so my guess is that we really had between 80 and 100 people there.
Quite a few bloggers where there. BranfordBoy from My Left Nutmeg was there. He put up this diary. BranfordBoy also posted about it in a DailyKos diary
Spazeboy also wrote a diary on My Left Nutmeg which he cross-posted on his own blog.
In his My Left Nutmeg post, he included a great picture of Ned Lamont holding Fiona. I’ve posted about that in the comments to a post on BlogforAmerica. Donna*in*evanston responded, “It seems that much like her mentor, Howard Dean, Fiona's political capital now belongs to the world.
And before too long, that Senate seat will be Fiona's. ;-)”
I also added a comment to a post on Howard Empowered People. Over there, donna*in*Evanston added, “FIONA FOR SENATE: CUTER THAN THE OTHER CANDIDATE!
She might want to change that slogan when she gets serious (and old enough) to run for office.”
In the comments to BrandordBoy’s DailyKos diary, it was pointed out that ThirdParty wrote also wrote a DailyKos diary about the New Haven event. I think I know who ThirdParty is, but I’m not sure.
Two other bloggers I met at the event were CTBlue who doesn’t have a Ned Lamont post up yet, and CTBlogger how does. As a side note, be sure to check back on CTBlogger for when he gets his photos up.
I did not get a chance to meet Kilb, but Kim did. Kilb wrote a diary on MyDD which he cross-posted to the Yale Democrats Blog.
Unfortunately, Genghis Conn of Connecticut Local Politics did not make it. However, there is a discussion of the event in comments to his post about Weicker and Lamont
It looks like things are going to get really exciting pretty quickly.

I am a novice when it comes to blogging! Any Ideas how I can get some information out about my late Father's (John McAleer)Korean War Novel "Unit Pride"? It is available at www.amazon.com. And bookstores. It has great critical reviews and fan based reviews. Any thoughs would be welcome.
