A Web 2.0 Bubble?

Recently, a top topic Technorati has been Web 2.0 after the conference in San Francisco. There have been lots of discussions about who is buying which blogging companies. Today, AJAX, which one blogger calls “the crown jewel in the current Web evolution that has been dubbed Web 2.0”

Over on another blog, Rich ponders if we are seeing the formation of a new internet bubble. Well, if Web 2.0 is the new internet, then it only makes sense that a new internet bubble may be emerging. Perhaps the first internet bubble was about shopping. The new one is about media.

Rambling around the Internet, Part 2

In other political news:

Yesterday, Pax pointed me to this audio mix of President Bush doing Imagine and Walk on the Wild Side. Perhaps this is what he was playing when this famous photo was taken.

Meanwhile, Barking Dingo talks about Jerry Kilgore swift boating Tim Kaine. Apparently, Tim Kaine is a conscientious pubic servant who takes on even unpopular jobs of defending murderers. Apparently Jerry Kilgore doesn’t believe in the rule of law or that people should be given fair trials and has attacked Tim Kaine for doing his job.

As a side note, I’ve also been following Tim’s campaign blog for quite a while. I’m also closely following Deval Patrick’s campaign up in Massachusetts. Yesterday I got a fundraising request from them that asked me to set up a fundraising page on their site. You can see it here. I hope that after you stop by and toss a few bucks to the DeStefano campaign, you do the same for Deval Patrick.

Rambling around Cyberspace, Part 1

I try to keep my fingers on the pulse of cyberspace. Actually, that sounds pretty pretentious. Really, I like tracking different blogs. I do a bit of it in my role as blogmaster for the DeStefano campaign.

You can see some of the blogs I follow at Bloglines. There, I track campaign sites, and sites from Connecticut and Massachusetts.

Over on Connecticut Local Politics someone pointed to Colin McEnroe’s blog. Besides having a show on WTIC he is teaching a class in blogging at Trinity. Someone posted a comment on his blog pointing a class at Quinnipiac. I’ve added a bunch of the blogs from that class to my Bloglines.
