Krista Bradford forwarded a link to >>>>this<<<<. It is a presentative by alums of the Poynter Institute which she received from Nora Paul.
If you use Blogger, Google, buy things from Amazon, use Microsoft or Sony products, or read the New York Times, you must watch this.
It takes about eight minutes to watch the whole thing, but it is worth it. It should open up in a seperate window, so those of you who are coming through Blog Explosion can watch it without it messing up your BlogExplosion windows.
I would love to hear people's reactions.

The direction of the Democratic Party, and the role that Blogs can play

The talk today is about how Oregon DNC member Mary Botkin has been unseated by Jenny Greenleaf! Blue Oregon has particularly good coverage of this, and Political State Report and DailyKOS are also talking about this.
Blue Oregon also notes that Sal Peralta decided not to run against Wayne Kinney. I am disappointed that Sal didn’t run. I love democracy and I love to see it take place when it comes to electing the leadership of the party. I am very excited to see the democratic fervor sweep parts of the party as we decide who the next DNC Chair will be.
Micropayments in an open content gift based internet economy

It notes, “Here's another non-starter: Micropayments. … There IS value in micropayments. They might work some day. But not any time soon. The problem isn't technology. It's the marketplace” It points to an article by Clay Shirkey, Fame vs Fortune: Micropayments and Free Content, which goes on to talk further about why Micropayment systems are failing. Clay points to an article by Nick Szabo about the The Mental Accounting Barrier to Micropayments. He goes on to talk about how most people are giving away free content, and why would people pay, when they can get the content free.

This evening, we went to see Santa rappel down the side of a building in Stamford. It is an annual event. Afterwards everyone walked to a nearby park to see the tree get lit.
They’re putting reindeer, singing songs of joy and peace…
There was a musician there, singing about missing a loved one. The words sounded hollow, phony, anesthetized. Today, I read The California Hammonds blog. It was one of those blogs that has popped up as I’ve surfed Blog Explosion
Podcasting with Drupal
Submitted by Aldon Hynes on Sun, 12/05/2004 - 00:23I've been thinking a lot about Podcasting recently and set up iPodder on my PC. I think podcasting is an important part of a shift in the distribution of content.
I regularly listen to Coverville which I get as Podcast.
So, the question comes up, can you use Drupal for Podcasting.
