The Medical Liability Insurance Crisis
Submitted by Aldon Hynes on Tue, 10/19/2004 - 16:51Last week, Kim and I took Fiona to our pediatrician. While we were there we noted signs put up by Connecticut Doctor’s for Good Medicine. The sign was urging patients to support nine different candidates. We have spent a bit of time researching the PAC as well as the issues and would like to share the following observations.
About the PAC
Actually, Connecticut Doctor’s for Good Medicine is registered with the state as two separate two person PACs. Connecticut Doctor’s for Good Medicine (Norwalk Chapter), Claudia Gruss, MD, Treas.,P.O. Box 270, Georgetown, CT 06829 and Connecticut Doctor’s for Good Medicine (Stamford Chapter) Charles Littlejohn, MD, Treas., 70 Mill River Street, Stamford, CT 06902.

The first amendment says, “Congress shall make no … abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press”. When this was written, an important part of the press were the pamphleteers and these days, bloggers are often spoken about as the modern day pamphleteers.
Flags... and the People Who Wave Them.
Submitted by Aldon Hynes on Fri, 10/15/2004 - 07:59While surfing at Blog Explosion, I stumbled across an interesing blog entry, where the writer rants about flag waving three year olds. She writes, "There's nothing more moving than a small, impressionable child in the midst of a crowd waving a piece of cloth that represents your country, is there? ... I have to admit I get a different feeling when I see pictures like this. It's a sinking, disconnected feeling -- disgust, even."
I wrote the following response:
